DEMYSTIFYING
STEAM In The Game aim is to introduce and engage learners― ages 13-18—to explore creative technologies and STEAM career opportunities in sub-fields of STEAM Computer Science, 2D and 3D computer interactive game design, character design, and music composition and Design Thinking. No coding experience required.
SERVICE impact
STEAM in the Game reached 660 youth across our nation, linked over 25 community partners, introduced world renown professionals, and highlighted 35 Black and Latinx/Hispanic as speakers, technology creators, and teacher coaches since 2020.

Our approach is simple; attract (Gaming), awareness (Inspirational Speakers), engage (STEAM concepts and challenges). This educational program uses the tool of Game Design as an entry point for learning computer science, geometry, physics, visual effects, science, environmental sustainability, and production using the cutting edge game engines and free open source game platform.
